It was a beautiful fall afternoon for Abigail’s Bridal Portraits at Trickle Creek Events.
We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather on the day of her session! The way the sun came through the trees just made her photos extra dreamy. Trickle Creek Events is a romantic yet rustic wedding venue in Weatherford. A 250-year-old live oak tree serves as their main ceremony space. A vintage-looking chandelier hangs from a large tree in this space, making the whole area magical. I made sure we got several portraits of Abigail here!
Abigail’s wedding gown came from Bliss Bridal Salon. This dress is absolutely stunning with its lace bodice and spaghetti straps! In preparation for her bridal session, she had her hair and makeup done by Birdy Beauty. Having your bridal session on the same day as your makeup and hair trial is one of my most significant pieces of advice. When working with brides that choose to have a bridal session, I suggest you wear everything you plan on including on your wedding day and get your hair and makeup done. With this approach, you will be able to perform a trial run, and your bridal portraits will match what you look like on your wedding day, and you will never know that they are from different days.
Photographing bridal portraits is one of my favorite sessions to photograph. Making a bride feel comfortable with no one else around gives a sense of complacency. Since these sessions are before the wedding day, there is no hustle and bustle to worry about. All the focus is on capturing the true beauty of the bride!
