Attending The French Farmhouse wedding editorial allowed me to work alongside some fantastic wedding vendors! One of my favorite things about attending styled shoots is connecting with my creative side. Photographing an editorial lets me see new wedding trends and share all of the wedding inspiration that might help couples during their planning journey.
Located in Collinsville, Texas, you will find The French Farmhouse venue in all its beauty. This venue offers indoor and outdoor options for your wedding, and we utilized both spaces for this editorial. A romantic tablescape was inside the reception space. The tablescape design looked so inviting, and since I photographed it on my film camera, the colors were true to life and almost looked painterly.
Spring weddings tend to lean towards a softer color palette, but for this wedding editorial, they chose dusty blue with shades of red and pink. Pops of red enhanced the rich, colorful vibe, and I’m all about the color. Instead of wearing a traditional colored tux, the groom wore a maroon tux. The bride and groom were stunning together, and it was pure bliss getting to photograph them.
A vintage Plymouth car was brought to the property so we could take portraits with it. It’s such a fun idea when couples rent a vintage car on their wedding day that we can then utilize for photos. Besides, who wouldn’t want a fun getaway car to drive off in?
On the lawn outside was another elegance-filled reception set up that looked so stunning and classy. Renting furniture pieces for your wedding can elevate the space and make your guests more comfortable. Two soft pink couches used for a cocktail hour space were among the elaborate arrangement.
