As a Dallas wedding photographer, not only do I get the privileged to document weddings, engagements and anniversaries, but also proposals!
Taylor is from Texarkana, AR and he had reached out to me a week before the planned date that he was going to propose to his long distance girlfriend, Jane who lives in Dallas. I was able to instantly relate to them both about the long distance relationship and couldn’t have been more excited that Taylor asked me to be a part of his proposal plan.
Taylor picked out Griggs Park in Uptown Dallas for the surprised proposal. I have never been there until I had to come out and scout the location. It is the perfect location with the most spectacular view of the Dallas skyline! The park is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It couldn’t have been a better location for this to happen! Griggs Park is also a special place to Taylor because it is a park where Jane & Taylor would occasionally go on walks when he was in town.
Saturday morning, it is the big day! It was a beautiful cloudy morning and both of us were feeling nervous as ever. I remember Taylor telling me that the proposal didn’t hit him until I had him kneel down for me to take a test shot, when we had met up after he drove in Friday morning.
With the help from some of Jane’s friends, the surprised proposal went accordingly to plan! Jane was very surprised, Taylor asked, she said yes! Jane & Taylor are now officially engaged and I could not have been happier to document this special moment for them both.
Hey Jane & Taylor, if you need a wedding photographer, I’ll be here! (;
The best kind of friends! They were all so sweet and oh so excited for Jane & Taylor. Just look at them! <3
