It is wedding week for Melinda + Albert and the best way to start the week is to share their engagement photos! I absolutely adore these two and have had the pleasure of getting to know them. Little fun fact, I also had the pleasure of photographing Melinda’s older sister’s wedding last year, and so I’m very much looking forward to seeing all of the familiar faces of their family and friends again, as well as Albert’s side!
A modern love story, Albert and Melinda met on not one but two dating apps! They had talked on both platforms and eventually realized it was meant to be.
They have the sweetest proposal story. To throw Melinda off guard, Albert had told her they were going to one of his friends’ surprise engagement party at the Dallas Arboretum. In reality, they were attending their own party, so Albert made sure they were both dressed to the nines! As soon as they arrived, they headed to the Rose Garden, where some friends decorated it in advance. Once she said yes, they went and enjoyed their engagement party.
Photographing their engagement photos in Plano at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve was the perfect location! The golden hour provided a stunning fall look even though it was the dead of winter. Throughout the shoot, there is always lots of laughter and silliness with these two. The golden hour provided a stunning fall look even though it was the dead of winter.
They wore two different outfits for their session, and they both looked amazing! To start their session, Melinda wore a white colored sweater with the cutest satin light blush skirt, and Albert had on jeans and a white shirt with a army green jacket over it. For their second outfit, they dressed up and went all out! Albert wore a blue suit and a red tie to coordinate with Melinda’s red flowy dress. The slit on Melinda’s dress was a favorite and I couldn’t have agreed more!
