The couple:

A day full of love and laughter for Shannon and Evan’s Wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms. 

Evan and Shannon met while they were both attending Texas State University. Their love story didn’t begin until after he graduated, however! After being together for five years, they decided to take a trip to New York City. Shannon had always wanted to visit NYC in the fall so she could see the leaves changing color. While on their vacation, Evan popped the question while taking a stroll through Central Park. 

These two are so much fun to be around, and I was so excited for their wedding day to be here finally! They had to reschedule due to Covid, making their engagement longer than expected. Both of them couldn’t wait to marry one another!

The wedding day:

This Ponder, Texas venue is everything Shannon and Evan wanted. The Nest at Ruth Farms is a beautiful white barn wedding venue. It was the perfect place for Shannon to decorate with lots of greenery since she loved the white interior. 

I loved the moment between Shannon, her mother, and her sister as she got into her wedding dress. There were so many giggles and laughter throughout this time. 

Their wedding day was on the perfect fall day. They had meticulously planned every detail of their special day. Everyone was so laid-back, and I could tell everyone was excited to celebrate this amazing couple. 

It was important for us to capture a photo of Shannon’s grandparents with their grandchildren. They will treasure this photo forever! And that is exactly why I have so much passion for this job.

One unique thing I love about this venue is that each couple getting married here gets to sign their names onto the barn door. Before Evan and Shannon had their sparkler exit, we captured this keepsake.
