Jennifer and Matthew’s engagement photos at The Harbor Rockwall had lovely lakeside views. We were blessed with great weather, considering we did their engagement session in December.
This sweet couple met while they were playing intramural soccer at Texas Tech. Jennifer’s team had lost their first game, and then a new player joined them, and they started winning the next couple of games. That player happened to be Matthew. They connected a few years later when their relationship started.
Matthew planned the most lovely proposal in a dreamy location, Oahu, Hawaii. He told her to wear something nice as they were going somewhere special for lunch. They walked along the shore to a private picnic when they arrived at Waimanalo Beach. He knelt down next to a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” They said nothing else mattered at that moment, and it was such a special moment.
Harbor Rockwall photos can convey a sense of calm with the lake views. As a Rockwall, TX photographer, some of my favorite images from their session were with the lighthouse in the background. This location was perfectly fitting for Jennifer and Matthew as they are both gentle and loving with one another. Capturing a couple just how they are is so important, and while their love for each other is tender, you can feel how strong that love is.
They wore two different outfits for their engagement photos, one casual and the other formal. For their first outfit, Jennifer wore a cute pink textured dress, while Matthew wore a sweatshirt that matched the color of her dress and threw a nice winter coat over it. After we had gotten several amazing photos, they changed into formal outfits. Matthew wore a dark gray suit, while Jennifer wore a deep red dress. They looked so good together!
I am so happy that Jennifer found me through Instagram, as I had photographed one of her sorority sister’s weddings. Photographing just a piece of Matthew and Jennifer’s love story was a joy.
