JOYFUL. That is the word I would use to describe Justine + Jay’s relationship. I have met many people who are joyful, but those people cannot compare to Justine + Jay. They are the perfect duo of a ray of sunshine that just shines so brightly – whether its their presence within the room or when conversing with them.
It is without a doubt that fate brought Justine + Jay together when they met through mutual friends while attending a Texas Tech football game. It wasn’t love at first sight but deep down, a little spark did embark in their hearts.
It didn’t take long until their status went from friendship to boyfriend/girlfriend, and that was when things really hit it off with these two. They were inseperable and loved spending time with each moment that was given – whether it was going to music festivals, exploring Lubbock together, or re-visiting memories they had made together.
Jay knew immediately after a few serious of dates that he was going to spend the rest of his life with Justine. The sweetest proposal that took place where they first met each other was back at Texas Tech, on Justine’s graduation day. It was perfect, too perfect!
Days leading up to the wedding, I knew that the weather was a small concern. They had planned for a outdoor night ceremony but to our surprise, the weather for the entire day was absolutely perfect! There was not a cloud in sight and at one time, I wasn’t wearing my blazer because I was so warm due to running around everywhere lol.
Since the ceremony was at 7pm, Justine + Jay did a first look so that they could still have beautiful portraits in natural lighting. We were able to knock off portraits of them two, wedding party and even family formals prior to the sunset! I was so happy and died inside because I couldn’t believe how perfect the day was going.
I’ve never shot a NYE countdown wedding before, but now I can finally check that off my wedding list! I can say, that was my most absolute favorite part of their wedding day – ringing into the New Year with confettii!
There was so much fun, laughter, tears, and love but most of all, JOY.
