I enjoyed getting to know Macy + Ian during our wedding journey because when I met them for the first time, they were so laid back and most of all, down to earth! I wasn’t able to shoot their engagement session because their profession kept them super busy and our schedules couldn’t align, which was okay because they were naturally photogenic!
It was a very hot day but that’s expected when you’re getting married in June lol.
I started with Macy’s details upon arrival. They were very simple and minimal, which I absolutely loved! I love it when my brides don’t overwhelmingly have too much details (I’m not opposed to it either! lol) but just enough and Macy exceeded that.
Everything about the wedding was simple yet so beautiful. Macy + Ian stuck with minimal decor because The Grand Ivory itself is already such a gorgeous venue! When you have a venue that makes a statement by itself, there’s really no need for so much decor.
My favorite part of the day was when Macy did a first look with her parents individually and gifted them a note with a bridal portrait print of herself. That was just a very special moment I loved capturing for Macy.
Another favorite part was capturing Ian unravel his gift from Macy. He was all smiles and chuckles when reading her note and also looking at his gift.
Most of their family and friends had contributed into helping with florals, decor or dessert and cake as well. They are both very very loved!
Congratulations Dr. & Dr. Ekery <3
